Quick-y
22 December 2023

Overview
We built Quick-y during the Roolathon hackathon, where it secured the First Place in Open Theme conducted at Srinivas Institute of Technology (SIT). Quick-y is a Healthcare Management Application designed to streamline communication between doctors, patients, and pharmacists. This project focuses on reducing time inefficiencies in healthcare by providing quick diagnosis, appointment scheduling, and prescription management.
Tech Stack
Next.js, TypeScript, MongoDB, Flask, TensorFlow Tesseract, Leaflet API, Twilio API.
Key Features
-
Self-Diagnosis: Patients can upload skin images to detect diseases (currently limited to skin conditions). The app uses AI to analyze the images and provide preliminary diagnoses.
-
Appointment Scheduling: If a serious condition is detected, patients can book appointments with the nearest available doctors. The app shows the route map to the selected doctor's location.
-
Doctor Dashboard: Doctors can view appointments sorted by the criticalness of the patient's condition. They can schedule appointments and send confirmation messages via SMS.
-
Prescription Management: Doctors can prescribe medicines directly through the app. The prescription is sent to the pharmacy, where the bill is prepared by the time the patient arrives.
-
Pharmacy Integration: Pharmacists receive prescriptions directly from the app, ensuring that the patient's medication is ready upon arrival.
We also presented this idea in our college's mini project poster presentation, where it received positive feedback for its innovative approach to solving real-world healthcare challenges. Our hackathon team consisted of me, Samarth Rao, Alok Illur, and Tejas Nayak B, who collaborated to bring this idea to life.
