Overview

We built this project as a hackathon project in Hacksphere - Yentechmania conducted at Yenepoya Institute of Technology, Moodbidri, and won First Place! Our solution focuses on reducing food waste and helping users manage their kitchen inventories efficiently.

Key Features

• OCR for Food Scanning: We use OCR to scan food items and extract details like expiration dates, which are stored for easy tracking.
• AI-Driven Recipe Generation: Use AI to generate creative recipes based on the ingredients available, helping users make the most of what they have.
• AI-Based Shelf Life Tracking: Calculate and monitor the shelf life period of food items.

Our team, Cosmos, developed this project with the goal of promoting smart food consumption and reducing food waste. It was an exciting challenge to tackle this real-world problem, and working together with my teammates Tejas Nayak B, Samarth Rao, and Sankshipth Shetty allowed us to build features that encourage a more sustainable lifestyle.
